Founded in 1958 from a modest club house located on the banks of the beautiful Hastings River and adjacent to the CBD of Port Macquarie, the Club's renovations has given it the leading edge over its competitors with its modern and stylish facilities.

Originally named the Grand United Port Macquarie West Bowling Club Limited, the Club has always been affectionately known as ‘Westport’. Its many great achievements include being awarded the Most Improved Club in 1994 and achieving finalist status in the Club of the Year Awards for several years running.

The Westport Club is the focal point of social gatherings for locals. Whether it be entertaining family and friends or just to sit have a quiet drink you can ‘Relax in Style’. Visitors are most welcome and are drawn to the Club by its convenient location and striking views of the water from nearly all areas of the Club’s facilities.

The Convention Centre is the ideal venue for conferences, trade expos, weddings or special occasions. There are 4 functions rooms available which would suit any event.

With a strong emphasis to diversify the Club’s operations, Westport provides a relaxing and stylish entertainment, leisure and recreation venue for our community.  Westport is also developing stronger links with the community through sponsoring and supporting numerous community and sporting events and projects. Our Vision is “to make a significant contribution to the quality of community life”.

Westport is also proudly known as one of the premier bowling clubs in the region with bowling greens envious of other clubs. This has reflected in the success our Men’s and Women’s Bowling Clubs with many State, District and Preimier League titles, plus being awarded the rights to host such events annually.
